The width of Bogor City area is 11.850 hectares or 0.27 percents of width of the West Java Province. Administratively, this city consists of 6 (six) Sub-districts, they are the South of Bogor Sub-district, the East of Bogor, the west of Bogor, the North of Bogor, the Centre of Bogor and Tanah Sareal, and covering 68 (sixty-eight) villages.
This City lies on 106 480 East Longitude and 6 360 South Longitude along with the minimum average attitude of 190 meters, maximum 350 meters, slope declivity about 0-3%, 4-15%, 16-30% and over 40%, surrounded by mount Salak, Pangrango and Gede. From Jakarta the Capital City, the distance is + 60 km away.Bogor city also known as “The Rainy City”, as the city has high rainfall rate 3,500 to 4,000 millimeter / year.
The City's altitude is about 190-330 meters above the sea level, causing the average temperature is 260 C 21,8 o C, the humidity + 70%.
ECONOMIC
Topologically, Bogor lies close to the Capital City, Jakarta. This strategical position is very potential to support the economic development and growth of Bogor City. Macro economic Indicator is measured from Gross Domestic Product Region (GDPR), and it was Rp. 3.282.218.410.000,00 in 2003 based on constant price, whereas the recent price is Rp. 3.645.650.790.000, the increase rate is 11.07%. Economic growth rate of Bogor City in 2003 rises 6.07% from it in the previous year. It is from the contribution of 9 economical sectors. Meanwhile inflation rate in 2003 was 2.80% lower 0.10% compared with it in the previous year.
The sectors which contribute the rise of the GDRP of Bogor are finance, rental and company service 12.35% agriculture 0.40%; transportation and communication 10.62%; manufacture industrial 26.44% electricity, gas and pure water 3.06%; trade, hotel and restaurant 31.27%; services 7.73% and the construction sector of 8.50%.
